Pepsi rallied for a five-run second and a five-run fifth to lift themselves over their FOP opponents 13-0 in Dixie Boys baseball action on April 13.

Trey Daniel and Joseph Watters led Pepsi with two runs each.

Charlie Weber singled for the FOP squad.

11-12 year old baseball

Selma C&C 8,

Swift Drug 6

Selma Cash and Carry pushed two runs across the dish to open the sixth frame and held their opponents scoreless to post an 8-6 victory.

Shavarius Holeman led the Selma C&C squad with a home run and a single.

DeVonte Haynes tripled and Devante Brown doubled in the victory.

For Swift Drug, Michael Moore ripped a home run and doubled in the loss.

George Michael Rowe doubled and Jeremiah Catlin posted a triple and a single in the loss.

George’s Paint & Body 14,

Dallas Air & Heat 3

George’s Paint and Body abused the Dallas Air & Heat pitching staff for six runs in the bottom half of the first inning, en route to the 14-3 victory.

Kevin Simmons ripped a pair of hits with a pair of RBIs. Prince James had one hit and two RBIs.

Craig King also added a hit to the rally.

For Dallas Air and Heat, Taylor Copeland, Cullen Nickles, Elijah Thomas, Rod Bryant and Leon Sanders had one hit each.

Copeland, Nickles and Bryant also accounted for one RBI each in the loss.

Cougar Chevron 19,

Selma C&C 8

After being gridlocked at 4-4 going into the second inning, the Cougar Chevron squad rallied for five, six and four runs outbursts over the next three innings, en route to the 18-6 victory.

Greg Page posted a trio of hits and a quartet of RBIs and scored three times himself to lead the Cougar Chevron team.

Deion Daniles had two hits. Byron Hamilton, Labarion Eaton, R’yderious Hardy, Anthony Reeves and Alex Thomas each had one hit in the victory.

Eaton and Thomas also accounted for a trio of RBIs each.

For Selma Cash and Carry, Sherron Lindsey, Davonte Haynes, J’Danta Furlow and Shavarius Holeman each had hits. Furlow posted a pair of RBIs.

Steve Lane’s 13,

Brown Drug 0

Crawford Taylor struck out nine batters straight to help the Steve Lane’s squad squeak by their opponents 13-0.

He also had a double at the dish. Taylor Lane tripled and doubled, Will Tipton singled twice and then Andrew Dudley doubled.

Qintarious Johnson had the only hit of the game for Brown Drug.

12-14 year old fastpitch

Bush Hog 10,

Gary Mayton Motors 9

Trailing 9-4, Bush Hog posted six straight runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning to

give themselves the one-run victory. Summer Pugh pitched for the Bush Hog squad, allowing only two runs on two hits over the course of two innings.

Gabrielle Harris, Katherine Caldore, Kelsie Hattfield and Theresa Webb added hits for the Bush Hog team.

Jasmine Gould had two hits to lead the Gary Mayton Motors squad.

Rachel Eggert, Hayley Fox, Ashley Davis and Victoria Williams posted hits for the Gary Mayton team.

D&D Pest 7,

B.P. 6

Despite posting a trio of runs in the bottom half of the fifth frame, the B.P. squad was unable to overtake the lead and force an extra inning, falling 7-6 to D&D Pest Control.

Catherine Armstrong, Kalli Jones, Brooklyn Levins, Debes Cunningham and Dee Dee Billingsley all posted hits for the D&D team.

Mary Peyton Zimmerman, Lizzy Ellis and Mandy McQueen each had hits in the one-run loss.

Pepsi 12,

Family Medicine 3

The Pepsi squad posted a quartet of runs in the bottom half of the first and third innings en route to the 12-3 victory.

Tyler Lawrence and Trey Daniel posted doubles for the Pepsi squad.

Connor Thorpe and Forrest Hughes singled in the victory.

Family Medicine’s offense came from Jabarous Hardy, Jake Glover and Frankie Welborn.

Ross Plumbing 13,

Fancher Fabrications 10

After rallying for five straight runs to open the game, the Ross Plumbing squad was held scoreless until a seven-run outpouring in the top half of the seventh secured the win.

Ben Davis, Brian Hurt, Adam Brenuno, Wooodrow Watt and Antonio Sanders each had tow hits and two runs.

Tikeem Cooper and Dustin Horton had two runs each. Will Bernard, Devin Denson, Tylee Ellington, and Terrune William tacked on one run each.
