Beverley Jordan Siddens

Beverley Jordan Siddens, age 81, of Selma died Saturday April 15, 2006 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 18, 2006 at Old Live Oak Cemetery officiated by Rev. George M. Sedberry and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Mrs. Siddens is survived by a daughter, Katherine S. (Coleman) Williams of Montgomery, AL, two sons, Alan H. (Kathy) Siddens of Virginia Beach, VA and James E. (Leigh) Siddens of Selma, ten grandchildren, Molly R. Klopfenstein, Robert “Skip” L. Rozelle, Amanda H. Box, Edie W. Cox, Dawn Siddens, Jana S. Dugas, Emily S. Phillips, Wesley Siddens, Wade Siddens, Megan Leigh Siddens, 14 Greatgrandchildren and other relatives including cousin, Lyle H. Smith Jr., nephews, Bill (Polly) Sellier and Ron (Bessie) Jordan, and in-laws Bill and Lucille Sellier. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lulu Nicholson Jordan, father, Roland W. Jordan, Sr., husband, Earl O. Siddens, Jr. sisters, Lulu J. Chapman and Rebecca J. Sellier, brothers, Roland W. Jordan, Jr. and Walter R. Jordan, Jr.

Mrs. Siddens was a lifelong member of Church Street United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Church Street United Methodist Church. Family visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Nelle Guyse Lolley

Nelle Guyse Lolley, age 85, died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at a Clanton nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Glen Smith officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Lolley is survived by her son, Lawrence G. (Pennie) Lolley Jr. of Roxboro, NC; daughter, Linda L. (Donald) Hand of Clanton; sisters, Daisy Strickland of Montgomery and Judy (Ray) Moore of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Donald Hand Jr. of Clanton, Sharon Hand of Clanton, Cindi L. Holland of Gulf Shores, and Susan L. Stinson of Selma; great-grandchildren, Forrest Stinson of Selma and Jackson Hand of Clanton.

Pallbearers will be James Strickland, Richard Ware, Donald Hand Jr., Larry English, David Boozer, and Ernest Bedwell.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Darren Holland.

As an alternative to flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Thomas A. Pearson Jr.

Thomas A. Pearson Jr., age 52, of Selma died Saturday April 15, 2006. Funeral service will be announced later by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Raymond Piper

Raymond “Bubba” Piper, age 67, of Selma, died Sunday April 16, 2006 at the home of his son in Bismarck, Arkansas.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday April 19, 2006 in New Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Stover officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Bubba Piper was preceded in death by two sons, Roy Alan Piper and Randall Piper, his mother, Nell Watters, father, Odis Watters, and brother, Richard Piper. Survivors include two sons, Raymond (Robin) Piper of Bismarck, AR, and Ronnie (Lisa) Piper of Fairhope, AL, one sister, Shirley Baggett of Selma, two brothers,

“Toota” (Harriet) Piper of Selma, and “Tubby” Piper of Mobile, AL, three grandchildren, Randall Piper, Brendon Piper, and Ryan Piper, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews,

a very special friend, Bill (Denise) Purser of Good Springs, AL,

and

many other close friends

and family.

Bubba was loved by everyone who knew him.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 18, 2006.
