Betty Ann Grider Chavers, age 65, died Sunday April 9, 2006 in a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday April 12, 2006 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens.

Ms. Chavers is survived by her mother, Mae Farley, daughter, Michelle McHaney, step-daughter, Donna Chavers, grandson, Alexander McHaney, brothers, Jim Grider, Lynn Jordan, and James Jordan, sister, Debra Farley Fuller, aunt and uncle, Frances and Ray Pomeranz, and aunt, Betty Simmons.

Pallbearers will be Mark Fuller, Gwyn Barnes, Tommy Simmons, and L.C. Chavers.

Family Visitation will be Tuesday April 11, 2006 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Mae Harrison

Mrs. Ola Mae Harrison, age 70, of Selma, Alabama died on April 5, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. C. A. Lett officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Walker Mortuary directing.

Survivors include: her husband, Rev. Lorenzo Harrison, Sr.; two sons, Virgil Parker and Lorenzo (Latanza) Harrison, Jr.; five daughters, Evelyn (Anthony) Vallacqua, Paulette (Joseph) Mello, Iris Kay (Sandy) Blackmon, Tammy (Marvin) Maul and Demecia Austin; one brother, Rev. B. B. (Nancy) Parker; two sisters, Oretha Williams and Versierine

(Rev. Leon) Craig.

Active pallbearers will be Craig Airport Authority Employees.

Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Airport Industrial Board.

Marie Perkins Harbin

Marie Perkins Harbin, age 78, of Greensboro, AL died on Monday, April 10, 2006 at Hale County Hospital.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. before the service at the church.
