Maurine Osborne Burton

Maurine Osborne Burton, age 90, died Friday, March 17, 2006 in a local hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 Monday, March 20, 2006 at New Live Oak Cemetery officiated by Rev. Shuford S. White and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burton is survived by her daughter, Theresa (John H, III) McEachern of Newbury Park, CA, grandchildren, Jory Paul McEachern of Newbury Park, CA, and Hobson Read McEachern of Newbury Park, CA, and sister, Sara Sherman of Selma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Charles Burton. She was a longtime member of Elkdale Baptist Church and Forrest Park Baptist Church.

Howard Vance Dunn

Howard Vance Dunn, age 42, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 21, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. at Westwood Baptist Church officiated by Rev Edward Eaton and Rev. Tyrone Parten and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Pine Hill, Alabama at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Dunn is survived by his mother, Barbara Green of Plantersville, step-father, Millard Green of Plantersville, sister, Charlene (Dennis) Moore of Plantersville, brother, Darrell (Tina) Dunn of Opelika, nephew, Seth Dunn, nieces, Hannah Dunn and Emma Grace Dunn, step-grandmother, Virginia Green of Plantersville, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Dunn.

Mr. Dunn graduated from Dallas County High School and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 20, 2006, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kathleen Walker Lolley

Kathleen Walker Lolley age 85 passed away Saturday, March 18, 2006, in a local nursing home.

Survivors include her daughters, Ann (James) Salminen, Sherry (Chris) deBuzna. Sister Marion Bevis, four grandchildren Krista (Norm) Reid, Scot (Tina) Salminen, Leah (Bubba) Lyle, Chad LoBue and her loving grand dog Rascal. Seven great grandchildren, Jared, Jacob and Jason Salminen, Brandon and Jessica Reid and Kennedy and Taylor Lyle.

Her husband, Edward S. Lolley, preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 2:30 P.M. at New Live Oak cemetery with Rev. George K. Jones officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at Selma Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.
