There is a better way

To the Editor:

This is written to a person or persons whose identity is unknown at this time. This may change very soon, if our Police Department catches you.

You broke into a home on March 8. A home that belongs to some of the nicest people I know. They are strong, faithful, committed Christians who serve the Lord and their church. This couple supports missions, missionaries and they’ve always reached out to help people all of their lives.

When I worked two jobs trying to finish trade school and support my family; he always took the time to speak to me and ask how I was doing. To this very day, he continues to do the same when he sees me in the hallways where I work.

You didn’t have to do what you did. There is a better way. What is it? First of all, it’s not a ways as much as a person. That person being the Lord Jesus Christ. When a person turns their life over to the Savior, a change takes place. A change is the way you live, think, talk, act or react.

He sees the needs you have in your life and begins to meet those needs.

I know first hand because when I gave my life to the Lord, He began at once to take care of me. He saved my lost soul from eternal Hell. He gave me hope in a hopeless world. He makes sure I get enough to eat, a place to sleep and clothes to wear.

He put a song in my heart! He showed me what unconditional love really was. He gives me peace in this violent world and He is my shelter in the storms of life. He promised to never leave me nor forsake me! People will turn their backs on me and walk out on me, but the Lord Jesus Christ is a constant presence in my life.

Oh, don’t let me forget to say, “My God can do anything!”

You can live a better life. You can be changed forever. Don’t take the attitude that you have gone too far or done too much. There is no one God cannot and does not want to save, heal and help!

Please try the one and only way to really live … give our life to Jesus Christ before it is too late. I am praying for you.
