Milton (Mickey) Sprott Brislin, Jr.

Milton (Mickey) Sprott Brislin, Jr., 85, of Spanish Fort, Alabama, died March 8, 2006.

Mickey was a descendant of one of the pioneer families in Central Alabama.

He was a retired Lt. Colonel in the Air Force Reserves and served in the United States Air Force 447th Bomb Group during WWII.

He founded Brislin Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc. in Columbus, Mississippi, in 1956.

He was actively involved and a long time member of the Episcopal Church, Rotary Club, and the YMCA:

Mickey is survived by his wife, Patricia Beaver Brislin, of 60 years.

Other surviving relatives include daughter, Judy Brislin Ollinger of Tucker, GA; sons, Mickey Brislin III, of Columbus, MS., Andrew Brislin of Bishop, GA, and Charles Brislin of Lawrenceville, Ga.; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Daphne, Alabama, on Monday, March 13 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Old Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, Alabama.

Martarine Williams

Martarine Williams, age 72, of Kentucky, formerly of Orrville, died on March 6, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery, Orrville, AL directed by Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include two sons, L. D. (Mary) Williams, Jr. and Tommy (Liza) Williams; four sisters, Carolyn (Randy) Knox, Irene (Ronald) Price, Emma (Pastor John) Jones and Vera Jones; one brother, James Atkins. Fifty grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, three sons-in-laws, one brother-in-law, five sisters-in-laws, thirty nephews, forty nieces and other relatives including Fannie Atkins, Idella Thomas, Mary Winfield, Delia Mae Winfield and Titi Anderson.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and sons-in-laws.

Izelle Smith

Izelle Smith, of Marion, Alabama, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel. Interment will follow in Harris Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel.

Dondrelle Montaye Smith

Dondrelle Montaye Smith, age 26, of Selma, AL died on March 4, 2006 in Sardis, AL.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Pastor Edward Campbell officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include fiancee, Demteria Hinter; parents, Charles and Annette Smith; one daughter, Mikia Shondrelle Smith; one brother, Stanley Oneal Smith; three sisters, Alesha Deshaye Brown, Laronica Michelle Smith and Charlene Elise Smith; two brothers-in-law, Michael Brown and Jermaine Savage. Nephews, Jeremy Savage, Michael Brown, Jr., Jermaine Savage, Jr., Quadevinne Walker; niece, Octavia Savage.

Pallbearers included Stanley Smith, Albert Smiley, Jesse Lee, Jr., Charles Bailey, Vernon Venter, Willis Norris, Michael Smith, Christopher Hinter, Christopher Wilson and Jimmy Wilson.

Adrienne Renee Robinson

Funeral services for the late Adrienne Renee Robinson will be held on March 13, 2006 at the West Trinity Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Rev. A. Williams officiating, Walker Mortuary directing.

Adrienne Renee Robinson was born September 5, 1974 in Selma, Alabama to the late Barbara Jean Robinson.

On March 6, 2006, Almighty God dispatched his angel to Adrienne’s bedside and summoned her to come and rest.

Those loving her and celebrating her life are: her Father, Robert Stoudemire of Montgomery; Siblings, Vanice (Willie) Washington and Monica Robinson of Selma, Tommy (Kathy) Pickett of Georgia, and Tamila Anderson of Detroit; Aunts, (devoted aunt) Sarah Robinson of Montgomery, Iola Brooks, Ella Smiley, Jacqueline Robinson and Lessie Smith all of Selma; Nieces, Erica Robinson of Selma and Chania Johnson of Detroit; Nephews, Michael Robinson of Montgomery, Dorez Anderson of Detroit, Marquell Smith and Martrell Smith of Oaklahoma, Corey Robinson, Fabian Robinson and Devin Robinson all of Selma; Great-Nieces, Tierra V.
