Rev. Thomas Edison Craig

3-16-30 to 1-23-06

He departed his life at Jackson Hospital to be given a new life with our Lord. The beginning of his eternal life will be celebrated at St. Paul AME Church, 706 East Patton Avenue, Montgomery, Al at 10:00 am on January 27, 2006 with Rev. Joseph Rimbert, Sr. officiating. Interment will proceed at Eagle Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Marion, AL.

Rev. Craig was a member of St. Paul AME Church and spent over 20 years as an AME Pastor. He earned his BS degree in secondary education from Alabama State University, Masters of Theology from Alabama Christian School of Religion. His employment history includes: Retired Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service and Retired Maitre d hotel for Gunter Air Force Base officers club. Thank God rev. Craig passed our way.

To celebrate his life and home going: his wife, Lonetta Lee Craig; children, Yvonne Kelley, Dr. Thomas E. (Shelia) Craig, III and Roderick (Yolanda) Davis; brothers, Lorenzo M. (Jacqueline) Craig, Dr. Fredrick A. (Shirley) Craig, DDS; 6 grandchildren; 1 niece and 4 nephews; sisters- and brothers-inn-laws and a host of other relatives and friends. Thank God Rev. Craig passed our way on his journey home.

Re. Craig was brought up by his father and mother, the late Tom and Sarah Craig in the church. At an early age he joined Green Street Baptist Church, Selma, AL and was an active member for years until he joined the Korean War as a active duty soldier. He was later ordained an AME elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. He served as pastor in the 9th district Alabama and East Conferences of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Lelia Mae Ishman Fails

Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Lelia Mae Ishman Fails will be held Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 12 noon from the Good Hope Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill, AL. Reverend J.L. Ward, Pastor officiating with J.H. Williams & Sons directing. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Memory Cemetery.

Mrs. Lelia Mae Ishman Fails, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. George and Susie Ishman was born October 6, 1935 in Dallas County, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Salem No. 2 Baptist Church. Later she united with the Good Hope Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health failed.

She united in holy matrimony with Charlie Lee Fails, December 23, 1958. To this blessed union four children were born. On son preceded her into eternity. She departed this life on Thursday, January 19, 2006.

She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Charlie Lee Fails; one loving daughter, Hattie (Gregory) Olds; two loving sons, Darryl W. Fails and Christopher L. Fails all of Selma, AL; three special grandchildren, Jessica Olds, Keshia Fails and Darryl Fails Jr.; five sisters, Georgia (Zeb) Lee, Henrena James, Jeanette (Ned) Fails, Susie Harrison, Palestine Ishman, all of Selma, AL; one brother, Henry Ishman of Selma, AL; four sisters-in-law, Susie Ishamn, Willie Mae Ishman, Sadie Sullivan, all of Selma, AL and Hattie Hildreth of Georgia; three brothers-in-law, Joseph fails, Jimmy Fails, all of Selma, AL and Loveless (Delois) Fails of Birmingham, AL; a host of nieces, nephew and other relative and friends.

Thelma Williams Minor

Mrs. Thelma Williams Minor of New York, Ny, a beloved mother, sister & aunt moved on January 23, 2006. She was born in August 1927 in Dallas County, AL. She found Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church in Sardis, AL. Her mother is Ethel Williams Mahorn, a member of the church for 84 years. Services will be announced at a later date.

Robert Carroll Morris

Mr. Robert Carroll Morris, age 84, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2006. He was born December 1, 1921 in Perry County, AL, son of the late William D. and Lola Plummer Morris. He was also preceded in death by his sister Margaret Pugh and brother Luther E. Morris. Mr. Morris was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Morris; son Robert C. Morris, Jr. and Bettie J. Hayes; daughter & son-in-law Charlene Morris and Allen K. Watt; grandchildren: Amanda Dennison, Chandra Ingram, Allana Brockman, Christopher McKinley, Matthew McKinley, and Joshua McKinley; and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 from 7-8:30PM. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 2 PM Central Time in New Live Oak Cemetery, Selma, Alabama.
