Things are beginning to come together for the Meadowview varsity, but its a slow process. On Thursday night, Coach Mike Cassebaum had the opportunity to see improvement in his young Trojans as they used a 14-2 third period run to notch a 56-40 victory over SMCA.

Derek Lassiter led the Trojans in scoring with 14 points and eight rebounds and was followed by Dustin Lee’s 12 points and six assists. Blake Smith also had a career night with 10 points.

&8220;It was a career night for Smith and Dustin is doing a great job of running our offense. We are getting a lot better. But we still have some growing pains to work through.&8221;

J. R. Lowe added eight points.

From there, Trent Smith chipped in with three points. Cooper Hain, Brook Ross and Ross Johnson each finished the night with two points.
