Roosevelt Carson and Termarcus Watson were indicted Wednesday for the shooting death of Anthony Sanders during a robbery attempt in November.

Carson and Watson are both being charged with capital murder, which carries the risk of the death penalty if convicted.

Watson, 17, and Carson, 25, are accused of shooting Anthony Sanders, a 44-year-old Orrville resident at his residence on County Road 115.

A witness at the scene said Carson was the shooter. She said that Carson told her brother to &8220;Give it up!&8221; and then shot him.

She also said that three men were involved in the robbery. She recognized the two defendants, but the third man remains at large.

Sanders, who operates a carwash, was shot twice, once in the neck and once in the left shoulder with what reports show to be a .22 caliber pistol.

Police believe three shots were fired, but only two hit Sanders.

Both suspects were arrested about an hour-and-a-half after the crime occurred, in the early morning hours of Nov. 10.

Deputies with the Dallas County Sheriff Department made the arrest. The suspects reportedly fled the scene on foot, but they were found some distance from the scene.

Sheriff department authorities believe they may have gotten into a car shortly after fleeing the scene.

Of particular interest to both the prosecution and defense is the timeline of the incident.

The suspects were arrested at an Orrville pool hall, where witnesses reported seeing them before and after the crime occurred.

Carson, the elder suspect, is believed to be the shooter in the case, authorities said. He was assigned no bond in the case, which means he’ll be in jail until the trial.

Watson was given a $25,000 bond in the case. He was released shortly after.
