Ludie Carson Hill

Ludie Carson Hill, age 58, of Marion, died December 9, 2005 at Hospice of West AL.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12 at 11 a.m. at Waycross Bible Methodist Church. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing.

Henry Grady Spigner

Henry Grady Spigner, age 83, died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2005 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Strickland officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Spigner is survived by his wife of over 60 years Frances Spigner; daughters, Sandra (Roger) Carter and Karen (Bryan) Welch; grandchildren, Kristen (Terry) Lawrence, Craig (Kim) Carter, and Boone Threadgill; and five great-grandchildren:, Dane, Christopher, Johnathon, Meredith, and Caroline.

Preceded in death by Hunk G. Spigner.

Pallbearers will be Terry Headley, Mike Lawrence, Kyle Lawrence, Ronnie Moore, Randy Tyus, and Wayne Coppedge.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Cahaba Hospice.

Family visitation will be from 3 – 5 p.m. Sunday, December 11 at the funeral home.

William Herbert Sanders

William Herbert Sanders, age 74, of Maplesville died Friday, December 9, 2005 at home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the Chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Brand officiating. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife Willodean Popwell Sanders, two sons; Robert Larry Sanders of Reidsville, GA and MSG Raymond Franklin Sanders of Ft. Polk, LA, one daughter; Lois Dora Ivey of Daytona, FL, stepson Terry Lane Mims of Maplesville, four brothers; Robert Sanders of Selma, James Sanders of Burlington, WA, David Joe Sanders of Selma, and John Sanders of Mexico, four sisters; Rosemary Tiller of Beaufort, SC, Frankie Chandler of Jones, Jeanette Girard of Austin, TX, and Gail Hughes of Selma, granddaughter; Samantha Sanders of Camden, and grandsons; Kyle and Levi Ivey of Daytona, FL and mother of his children, Jenny Luster of Clanton.

Preceded in death by his mother; Louise Sewell Sanders, father Raymond Eugene Sanders, Sr., daughter: Sharon Hank Sanders, brothers Raymond Eugene Sanders, Jr., Clyde T. Sanders, and grandson, Raymond Caleb Sanders.

Mr. Sanders was retired from United States Army, United States Air Force, and Alabama National Guard with 27 years of service; he was a Korean Conflict Veteran with 187th Parachute Infantry Regiment “Rakkasons”.

Family visitation will be Monday from 6:00 &110; 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or a donation to the Gideons.

Michael Williamson

Michael Williamson, 47, of Selma, AL died suddenly on December 8, 2005 from injuries sustained as a result of a job related accident.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Sardis, AL.

He is survived by his wife, Gena Raine Williamson of Selma; daughters, Carly Rose Williamson of Selma, AL and Judith Williamson of Columbus, GA; Shelby Jean Starnes of Columbus, GA; sisters, Susan (Brian) Moore of Columbus, GA and Traci (Ken) Craig of Smiths, AL; brother, Allan (Kathy) Faircloth of Cataula, GA; John Williamson of Columbus, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mavis Faircloth Williamson.

Pallbearers will be members of the Shiloh Young Men’s Sunday School Class.
