To the editor:

Your Dec. 4, 2005, article by Julian Helms had the following statement in it and it was from the writer and not in quotes, “If the council does not renew Royal Liquor’s business license this month, the neighborhood will return to the work of building a stronger community.”

It just seems wrong to inject an opinion in a news article as fact.

The rest of the paragraph is all fact and this statement shows up at the end of an otherwise good article. Maybe the editor should watch this writer a little closer in the future.
