David Thomas McDaniel, age 52, of River Oaks died at home Friday, November 25, 2005.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2005 in Plantersville Christian Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Ed Eaton and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home, Inc.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife, Denise McDaniel of River Oaks; son, Jason Thomas McDaniel and his wife Tracey of Foley; grandchildren, Elizabeth Danielle McDaniel and Penelope Thomas McDaniel of Foley; sister, Kelley McDaniel of Camden; niece, Danielle Rose Welch of Camden; brother, Shawn McDaniel of Wewahitchka, FL; mother, Nina Davis McDaniel of Selma.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie W. McDaniel and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Perk Davis.

Mr. McDaniel was retired from BellSouth after 31 years service, and also retired from the Army National Guard after 27 years service.

He was secretary-treasurer of the CWA.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Glenn Miles, Richard Boozer, David Pearce, Bob Phillips, Joey Holmes, and Cliff Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be BellSouth employees, members of the River Oaks Volunteer Fire Department and Ricky Holmes.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to the River Oaks Volunteer Fire Department.
