Judson College continued their winning ways Thursday night with a 87-57 victory over Selma’s Concordia College. The win pushed Judson to a 3-0 mark for the first time in five years and dropped Concordia to 0-6 on the season.

Judson dominated the whole game by never letting the Hornets take the lead.

The Lady Eagles kept a pretty big point distance all during the first half. When the Eagles went into the locker room, they had pushed ahead of the Lady Hornets 40-27.

The Lady Eagles continued to push their lead, further separating themselves from their opponents in the second half.

At the start of the second half, Concordia started to get on the trail of the Lady Eagles.

The Lady Hornets started to breath down the Lady Eagles neck by only trailing them by nine points.

Jones put his starters back in the game, turning the tide back in favor of the home team with 7:00 left in the game.

Things went from bad to worse for Concordia when Coach Ernest Miller got a tech for arguing with the officials over a call.

The Lady Eagles finished the night shooting 65 percent from the charity stripe.

The leaders for the Eagles were Jennifer Holmberg with 24 points and 13 rebounds and Charity Fuller had 24 points and five rebounds.

The other players who helped with the win were Anna Billingham with 10 points, three rebounds, nine assists and five steals. Amber George had seven points, six rebounds, and four assists, and Kat McCord had four points and six rebounds.

Concordia’s team leaders were Candace Reynolds with 14 points, Jazzlyn Prince with 10 points and DayShaun Butler with 10 points and one rebound.

Judson’s next game will be on Saturday when they travel to Blue Mountain College in north Mississippi.
