A 44-year-old Orrville man was shot and killed Wednesday night outside of the carwash he owned on County Road 115.

Anthony Sanders, who lived in a home adjoining the carwash, died on the ambulance ride to the hospital.

About an hour and a half later, Dallas County Deputies arrested two suspects in the case, a 17-year-old and a 25-year-old &045; both from Orrville. Bond hearings on the two suspects were held Thursday.

The younger suspect, Termarcus Watson, was assigned a bond in the case. Dallas County Jail officials refused to release the bond amount as of presstime.

The elder of the pair, Roosevelt Carson, was assigned no bond in the case, which means he won’t be leaving jail until the case goes to court.

Roosevelt, according to Dallas County Sheriff officials, is the alleged shooter in the case.

Randy Peugh of the Sheriff’s Department said

Sanders was approached at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the carwash by at least two men.

Peugh said the suspects attempted to rob Sanders and then shot him twice.

No one is sure at this time that any money was actually taken.

Peugh said the suspects fled the scene on foot.

Peugh said the investigation is ongoing and there may be more arrests in the case.

Both suspects are being charged with capital murder in the case. If found guilty, they could be executed by lethal injection.

In most cases, according to the district attorney’s office, suspects under the age of 18 must be certified as adults before they can be charged as adults.

Dallas County district attorney Michael Jackson said he was pleased with the outcome of Carson’s bond, but would have liked a no bond for both defendants.

Jackson said he was tired of the violence on the street and would do everything he could to stop it.
