Eugene Lee Bennett

Eugene Lee Bennett, age 73, of Selma passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at his residence.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 28, 2005, 2:00 p. m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Taylor and Rev. Doug Chappelle officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Interment will be in Pineview Memory

Gardens.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 27, 2005, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Mavis Bennett; his father, William G. Bennett, Sr.; two sons, Terry (Christy) Bennett and Gary (Sherry) Bennett both of Selma; one daughter, Pamela Haskins of Valley Grande, AL; 6 brothers, William G. Bennett, Jr. Franklin Bennett, Billy Bennett, Robert Bennett, Johnny Bennett, and Joe Bennett; eight sisters, Edna Driver, Janet Stone, Julia Hughey, Shirley Stone, Sara Redd, Bernice Turner, Brenda Hisel, and Connie Phillips; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Bell Williams Bennett; one son, Larry Bennett and one brother, James Bennett.

Pallbearers will be Edward Hughey, Gene Hisel, Jimmy McCullough, Jr., Scott Mitchell, James Holland and Patrick Hisel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Stone, Carroll Hughey, Howell Stone, Jackie Phillips, John Driver, B.B. Bennett and Richard Turner.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 1131, Fairfax, VA

Beatrice Rush

Beatrice Rush, 80, resident of Tyler, AL., died October 21, 2005.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Mt. Lilly Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Boswell officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul C.M.E. Church with Bell Funeral Home Directing.

Will Thomas Brown

Will Thomas Brown, 72, Resident of Hayneville, Al., died October 24, 2005.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the Unity Baptist Church with Rev. George Davis officiating. Burial will follow in James Cemetery with Bell Funeral Home Directing.

Helen Houston Russell

Mrs. Helen Houston Russell, 93, of Coatopa, Alabama passed October 20, 2005 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 29 at 1p.m. at the Dugg Hill P.B. Church, Coatopa, Alabama, with Rev. John Wright, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at 12:00 noon.
