The last time the Concordia College Hornets were at home wasn’t a pleasurable experience.

The Hornets got drilled by the Webber International Warriors to the tune of 49-7.

This weekend, coach Shepherd Skanes and his Hornets want to get that bad taste out of their mouth and redeem themselves to the city of Selma, especially on homecoming.

On Saturday, the Hornets will face another upstart program &045; the University of South Alabama.

Although the Hornets and the Jaguars are from the same state, Skanes doesn’t consider this Concordia’s rivalry game.

Skanes and the Hornets are also asking all of Concordia’s alumni to come to this weekend’s game.

Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 2 p.m., and will be played at Selma’s Memorial Stadium.
