So far West has lost to Marengo and Cornerstone in weeks one and two and then lost to Sumter and Class AA’s South Choctaw in weeks four and five. The Cadets have struggled this season in three of the four games they’ve played. In week five the Pirates strung together several offensive drives en route to a route of Marengo Academy. The Wildcats season has pretty much gone the opposite way. Wilcox opened the season with a narrow defeat of the Monroe Volunteers but suffered back-to-back regional losses to Tuscaloosa Academy and then to Clarke Prep.
