Hunter, however, didn’t let the Auburn fans off the hook either, asking if they’ve heard the Tiger’s 2006 schedule.

Hunter, who hails from Prichard, was an All-American out of high school and played football at the University of Alabama, under coach Paul &8220;Bear&8221; Bryant.

Throughout his message Tuesday night, the lessons that the Bear taught him became talking points.

Keeping your poise and being humble became the two biggest points. Hunter recalled two times when he forgot those lessons.

Both of which involved the Tide’s biggest out-of-state rival, the University of Tennessee Volunteers.

According to Hunter, Neyland Stadium was practically empty save for the cheerleaders who were setting up the sound system, a few fraternity pledges that were saving seats for their big brothers and the Vol’s mascot Smokey and his handler.

The Vols got the better of the Tide in Hunter’s tenure as a senior.

Stadium, a fan loudly proclaimed what he thought of the senior quarterback’s lackluster performance in the Tide’s loss to the Vols.

Hunter fielded questions and said that he was very impressed with the work of Auburn’s Brandon Cox and hoped that Alabama’s Brodie Croyle can learn to slide instead of staying in there and taking the hit.

The Quarterback Club will not meet again until Oct. 4, when Tommy Gallion will be the guest speaker.
