To the editor,

Yesterday we

released the positive report about Christianity in Alabama.

Like

you, when I got home from work yesterday, the photos and the

disastrous stories coming out of the southern regions of Louisiana,

Mississippi and Alabama gripped my heart.

There are

Christian organizations like the Salvation Army and the Alabama

Baptist Relief – as well as the long-standing Red Cross – who

specialize and lead the way in outreach to those who are

hurting.

Let’s show our Alabama

Christianity by selecting a charity of choice and give to

“Love our neighbor as we love ourselves.”
