Lady Trojans volleyball team made their Alabama Independent School Association debut Thursday, playing host to East Memorial Christian Academy from Prattville.

East Memorial proved to be too much for the Lady Trojans to handle in their season opener, defeating them 25-20 in the first game and 25-17 in the game two of the

best-of-three series.

In the first game, the Lady Trojans tried to keep up with East Memorial by their high serving points earned by Tonya Caldor who put eight points on the scoreboard.

The next big scorer for Meadowview was Jessica Lolly who added seven points on the board.

Rachel Campbell and other Meadowview players added to the score.

The second and the last game for the Trojans were so close that the Trojans could almost taste the victory.

At the beginning of the game, it looked like East Memorial was going to blow the Trojans out of the water.

The Trojans began their serving streak and was able to put 17 points on the board before the end of the game.

The big scorers for this game were Gayle Carle scoring 7 points and Jessica Lolly scoring 5 points.

The rest of the Trojans points came from the combined help of Rachel Campbell, Nichole Davis, and Tonya Caldor.
