After a promising start, the Keith Bears fizzled in their opening game against A.L. Johnson, to lose, 48-8.

The lone score for the Bears came courtesy of a 95-yard kickoff return from Leo Vaughn. That’s the first time Keith has returned a kickoff for a touchdown since 2000.

Vaughn carried the ball 14 times for 87 yards and had 123 return yards. Crum highlighted the play of several other players on the offensive side of the ball.

Defensively, LaDarrius Jones had 15 tackles, three for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and one interception.
