The 1-0 tally held until the bottom half of the third inning. Moore-Stewart found their swing and their offense. JeMarkus Thomas led off the inning with a single, followed by Joseph Watters. Craig Price walked to load the bases. Parker Hughes sharply bounced a hit to the thirdbaseman. The ensuing throw pulled the firstbaseman off the bag and allowed Thomas to score, tying the game at 1-1. Connor Thorpe singled scoring Watters and Price, pushing the lead to 3-1.

George’s attempted to rally over the course of the fourth and fifth innings, each of them getting stopped before they begun. Watters scored his second run of the night in the bottom half of the fifth inning, pushing the score to 4-1.

That’s the way it stayed.

George’s put runners on in the top of the sixth and were once again poised to make a run in the championship game, but was unable to push a run across.

Moore-Stewart finished the season with a record of 17-3 and the American League championship.
