Play finished at the 44th Annual Bud Burns Dixie Junior Invitational Golf Tournament at the Selma Country Club on Wednesday afternoon.

In the 17-and 18-year old age group, Jay Harris finished three strokes better than his competition, posting a 213 with rounds of 72, 67 and 74. Walker Stinson finished second with a 216 with rounds of 72,71 and 73. Michael Frye finished in the third slot with rounds of 74, 75 and 72, giving him a three-round total of 221. Justin Williams and Zach Lynch rounded out the top five with rounds of 222 and 224.

Earlier in the tournament, Leah Hagedorn finished on top of the 16-18 year old standings with a two-day total of 79 and 84, shooting 163 in the tournament, and finishing 23 strokes ahead of Tierney Sisk with a 186.

Millicent Chaney and Lauren Burtt rounded out the remainder of the age group with a 194 and a 204, respectively.

After shooting back-to-back rounds of 67, Bradley Johnson shot a 70 in the final round and posted a group leading 204 to win the division. David Matthews finished 20 strokes back with a 224, two strokes ahead of Zachary Portemont who shot a 226.

In the girls 13-15 year old age group, Skyler Pusch and Jennifer Commander posted rounds of 178 to tie for first place. Pusch posted rounds of 88 and 90, while Commander finished with a 92 and an 86.

In the boy’s 13-14 year old age group, Douglas Sellers proved to be the man to beat with rounds of 71 and 78 for a score of 157. Chad Edgil, Reid Taylor, Dale Roy and Ben Mangum rounded out the top five.

Janie Jackson posted an 81, 15 strokes ahead of Blair Casebee to win the girls 10-12-year-old age group. Jackson posted rounds of 39 and 42 while Casebee finished with a 48 and a 48.

Robby Shelton the IV finished the tournament with a two-day score of 71, 35 and 36 over the first two days of play to win the 10U age group.

Taylor McCullum finished second with a 41 and a 36 for a 77.

In the 9U age group,

Selma’s Rett Rivers finished a two-day score of 160 and took home the Bud Burns trophy.

Miller Majors won the Paul M. Grist Trophy.
