Christopher Carmen and Bozidar Borovic, co-owners of Cahaba Park West, said that they are working toward making the mobile home park a safe, clean, ideal place to live.
During the May 23 County Commission Meeting, several residents of Cahaba Park talked about problems with the sewage and septic system and with overgrown grass.
Among the issues mentioned were busted sewage lines that caused sewage to puddle in the yards of residents, broken septic pumps that caused waste to flow back into the homes, an overflowing sewage lagoon and an overgrowth of grass and weeds.
The men said that they have already replaced a pump that was burned out and have had the park’s two lawnmowers fixed.
The men &045; who live in Southern California &045; said that they have only owned the park since December 2004.
&8220;There were issues that we inherited &045; certain problems from the previous owners,&8221; Borovic said. &8220;The park was 30 years old.&8221;
