Funeral Services for John Dewitt Harrison , Sr.,

will be held at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1431 Broad Street, Selma, Alabama, Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Rodney T. Morton, Pastor, will deliver the eulogy. Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, directing. Burial will be in the Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande, Alabama.

Harrison, a 78 year old veteran, passed on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at his home.

He leaves to cherish his memories and continue the legacy: a caring and devoted wife Louise Harrison; four loving children, Ronnie, John D. Jr., Deborah and Ira (Ricky) Austin, Sr. all of Selma; two sisters Ira H. Durgan and Sallie H. Goodwin both of Selma; five loving grandchildren, Kenneth Harrison, Ricky M. Austin, Jr. both of Selma, Eddie W. (EJ) and Chanice Harrison of Hyattsville, Maryland and Chase Brown of Huntsville, Alabama; two devoted nieces Wanda and Vanessa Goodwin of Selma, and one great niece Ashlyn Goodwin of Selma; four loving God children, Eddie Mae Crum of Montgomery, Alabama, Gwendolyn Cleveland, and Coretta Smith and Ivery Williams all of Selma; two god grandchildren, Iverianna and Ivan Williams of Selma; cousins and friends who regarded him with respect and admiration.

Mary E. Moore, 60 of Selma, died Thursday, June 2, 2005, in Selma.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Walker Mortuary.
