Veleria H. Rushing

Veleria H. Rushing, age 85, died Monday May 23, 2005 in a Marion nursing home.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday May 24, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Pineview Memory Gardens officiated by Rev. George Birchler and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rushing is survived by her children, Winston Rushing of Tyler and Rex Rushing of Orrville, and grandchild, Christina Moore of Tyler.

Francis Henry Ikerman, Jr.

Francis “Frank” Henry Ikerman, Jr. age 74, of Selma died Monday May 23, 2005 at home.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 25, 2005 at Pineview Memory Gardens officiated by Rev. Randy Tanner and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Mr. Ikerman is survived by his wife, Elsie Hefner Ikerman of Selma, son, Frank H Ikerman, daughters, Rebecca I. Guinn and Mary Celeste Ikerman, grandchild, Shane Hobart (Melanie) Ikerman, and grandchild, James Ellison, daughter-in-law, Vicki Ikerman, brother, William James Ikerman, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces/nephews.

He is past Commander of the American Legion and a leader in the Boy Scouts of America. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Celeste Averitt.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association or Westwood Baptist Church.

Annie Louise Collins

Annie Louise Collins, 53, of Marion, died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at a Selma hospital.

Services were held Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Trinity Baptist Church in Marion, with the Rev. B.L. Tucker officiating. Burial followed in Marion City Cemetery with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.

Lula M. W. Ford

Lula M. W. Ford, 90, of Marion, died Sunday, May 15, 2005, at a Marion nursing home.

Services were held on Sunday, May 22, 2005, at Union Baptist Church in Marion, with the Rev. Richard Bryant officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.
