Ray Davis beat Taylor Sports 18-2 on May 13, 18-2 in 5-and 6–year old baseball action. Evan Glaze went three for three, hitting a homerun in the first inning. Jadarius Whitlock and Demetrius Martin added to the team’s win with hits and defense. For Taylor Sport’s, scores came off the bats of Jackson Jones and Marquajeon Murry. Teammates Ryan Harell and Paul Daniels added with hits.

Moose Lodge 18,Smitherman Brothers Construction 8

Landon Davis hit the team’s only homerun of the night to lead Moose Lodge over Smitherman Brothers Construction 18-8 on May 13. Artavious Rhodes and Korbyn Kelly added with hits and scores. For Smitherman Brothers Construction, Taqwillis Chappell had two hits, scoring the same. Tavaris Haynes and Lazarus Howard had hits and played defense.

Tayari Mortgage 11, Johnson Paint and Body 6

Ty Albright and Damian Murry shared four hits and two homeruns to lead Tayari Mortgage over Johnson Paint and Body on May 13. Woodrow Lowe and Jay Albright had hits and played defense. For Johnson Paint and Body, Truck Thomas led the way with two hits and scores. Teammates Makevien Eaton and Jalen Johnson added to the team’s losing efforts with hits and defense.

7-and 8-year old

Captain D’s 13, Athlete’s Foot 10

Harrison Adams had two singles to lead Captain D’s to a 13-10 win over Athlete’s Foot. Luke Reynolds, Michael Krunowsky, and Nicholas Goodson each had a single in the win. For Athlete’s Foot, Bernard Vasser had a homerun.

Rehab Associates 14, Captain D’s 11

Rehab Associates used 16 hits to beat Captain D’s 14-11 on April 14. Cyron Ellis and Jaydon Buford both had homeruns. For Captain D’s, Brian Harlow had a double, and Luke Reynolds had a triple.

Blue Ox 11, CWA 10

Blue Ox used 15 hits and a four run seventh inning to squeeze past CWA 11-10 on April 15. Brandon Williams had a triple, and Cameron Walker had four singles. For CWA, Quintavious Davis had a double, and Johnsay McGuire had two singles.

Selma Hardware 21, Clean Machine 9

Selma Hardware used 23 hits to beat Clean Machine 21-9 on April 18. Stacy Russell had a homerun, and Ryan Hurt had a triple. For Clean Machine, Heath Day had a triple and a double. Ladarius White had a homerun and a triple in the losing effort.

Rehab Associates 18, Fuller Building 8

Davian Brantley had a homerun to lead Rehab Associates to an 18-8 win over Fuller Building on May 12. Cyron Ellis had a single and a triple. Lawrence Hatcher and Corey Woods each hit a single in the win. For Fuller Building, Dokato Sanders hit two singles. Trey Ford, Kyle Friday, Tevin Sharpe, and Will Sherrer each had a single.

9-and 10-year old

Victor Nissan 15, Fancher Fabrication 5

Victor Nissan beat Fancher Fabrication 15-5 on May 14. Preston Pritchett and Leon Sanders went three for three with both hitting a homerun. Teammates Taz Eaton and Quinton Harris shared four scores off of five at bats. For Fancher Fabrication, Seth Taylor had two hits and scores. Teammates Wenndell Pullom and Alex Thomas added to the team’s effort with hits and scores.

Lauderback 11, Pepsi 3

Lauderback Telephone Service beat Pepsi 11-3 on May 14. Alton Carmichael had three hits and scoring each time. Mark Jones had three hits and scored two runs. Joe Gibson and Drew Carter added to the win with hits and runs. For Pepsi, Jamerius Barnett hit a homerun in the fourth inning. Hits and scores came off the bats of teammates AJ Simmons and Wyatt Sanders.

Dallas Ave. Pharmacy 19, Victor Nissan 13

Chase Cammack, Dalton Lee, and Wes Tipton all scored three runs to help lead Dallas Ave. Pharmacy to their win on May 16. Ford Manderson, Dee Sigmon and Mortezz Simpson all helped with two runs each. For Victor Nissan, Preston Pritchett and Quintan Harris had three runs each. Jamone Newberry and Robert Thomas had two runs each.

Carquest 13, Civitan 11

Carquest Auto Parts used 16 hits to beat the Civitan Club 13-11 Monday, May 16 at the Sportsplex. Kendal Smith had four hits and four RBI’s followed by Michael Ward with three hits and three RBI’s. Getting two hits were Shazad Ali, Brandon Baughn and Brumley Oglesby while Sidney Riley, Trequan Salvage and Casey Pullom had one hit each.

Ross Plumbing 11, Civitan Club 0

Ricky Simpson and Labarion Eaton each scored two runs to lead Ross Plumbing to an 11-0 win over Civitan Club on May 14. Ross Plumbing scored four runs in the first, five in the second, and two in the third.

Selma Trophy 13, El Ranchero 3

Selma Trophy beat El Ranchero 13-3 on May 14. Jesse Harris scored three runs on three hits, and Quintravious Johnson scored three runs on two hits. Keyshawn Ford scored two runs on two hits in the win. For El Ranchero, Ricky Smith, Eddie Thigpen, and Desmond Blake each scored one run in the loss.

Pace 1441 16, Elks Lodge 3

Jacobe Relph and Devonte Moorer each scored three runs on three hits to lead pace 1441 to a 16-3 win over Elks Lodge on May 14. Mark Black scored two runs on three hits. Timothy Moorer, Joevon Willis, and Daryl Cosby each scored two runs. For Elks Lodge, Alexander Burton, Christopher Jackson, and Hakim Reed all scored one run.

Selma Trophy 9, Cahaba Furniture 7

Selma Trophy remained unbeaten on May 17 by beating Cahaba Furniture 9-7. Jessie Harris, Ryderius Hardy, and Keyshawn Ford had two hits each followed by Prince James, Quintravius Johnson, Demarquis Lumpkin, Erick Moore, Prince Tolbert, and Willie Rutledge with one hit each. For Cahaba Furniture, Abram Dudley, Kutler Davis, Devonte Rembert, Christopher Raymond, and Kentavious Towns had one hit each while Lane Warren and Takove Wilson had two hits each in the losing effort.

Pepsi 23, Evan’s Chiropractic 13

Philip Brock and Justin Chandler scored three runs each to lead Pepsi over Evan’s Chiropractic 23-13 on May 17. Alex Inge, John Robertson, Hunt Shrer, A.J. Simmons, Corry Hayes, Wyatt Sanders, and Hunter Gorenflow each had two runs in the big win. For Evan’s Chiropractic, Alan Gaylor, Vontarious Melton, Devin Denson, and Larry Puckett all scored two runs.

11-and 12-year old

WHBB 7, Johnson Paint & Body 5

George Michael Rowe, Jonathan Williams, Jeremia Cartlan, Devonta Cleveland and Eddie Johnson had one hit each to help WHBB beat Johnson & Body 7-5 Monday, May 16 at the Sportsplex. For Johnson Paint & Body, Pierre Newberry had two hits including a solo homerun in the first inning. Charles Shoulin also had two hits followed by Gregory Page, Gregory Lewis and Rashad Lewis with one hit each.

Regions 10, STJ 9

Regions beat STJ 10-9 on May 16. In the second inning for Regions Tavarious Murray, Terrance Flennory and Eric Blevins all walked and came around to score. In the fourth inning Rodrick Bean singled and Russell Caraway singled and both scored on a double by Terrance Flennory. Terrance Murray walked and scored. In the sixth inning Tyler Smith singled and

came around to score on a wild throw. Three straight doubles by Rodney Ellis, Rodrick Bean, Tavarious Murray allowed Regions to come from behind to win in the bottom of the sixth inning. For STJ, in the second inning Terrance Brown led off with a double and came around to score. Howard Pritchett reached on an error and came around to score. In the fourth inning Brown led off with a single and J’Vonte Furlow reached on an error and both scored on a single by Roosevelt Jones. In the fifth inning Davantae Brown and Markus Walton both walked and scored on a double by Sherrone Lindsay. Lindsay scored on a single by T. Brown. In the sixth inning Roosevelt Jones walked and Terrance Pounds singled and they both scored.

Carter Drugs 11, Cougar Minit Shop 1

Carter Drugs beat Cougar Minit Shop 11-1 on April 14. Zach Gandy, Tyler Roberts, and Doug Molette had two hits each followed by Jarvis Lasiter and Ethan Fancher with one hit each. Gandy and Molette had three RBI each, and Roberts had two RBI. Fancher and Lasiter had one RBI each. Gandy was the winning pitcher, giving up one run on two hits. For Cougar Minit Shop, Trey Stiles and Deion Daniels had one hit each. Darrion Ellis took the loss on the mound.

Turner Motor Company 8, Steve Lane’s 5

Turner Motors beat Steve Lanes Truck and Auto 8-5 on April 14. Turner took an early lead in the first, when Jemarcus Brown reached on an error and scored on a Wilbert McConico single. Turner kept the ball rolling in the second inning when Anthony Thompson was hit by a pitch and later came around to score making the score 2-0. The third proved to be successful as well for Turner as Alexander Peoples singled followed by Anthony Watson being hit by the pitch, both coming around by a double hit of the bat of Jemarcus Brown. Steve Lanes proved they still had life by answering in there half of the third with Kenin Robinson drawing a walk then coming around to score on a Raheem Robins double making the score 4-1 after three innings of play. The forth inning proved to belong to Steve Lanes. Tyler Love led off the inning with a double and later scored. Both Michael Clark and Taylor Lane walked and scored on a single by Andrew Dudley. Kendurwin Young also walked and scored, turning the score Steve Lanes way 5-4. In the fifth Turner Motors sealed the deal when Andre Thompson walked and scored. Jeremy Blake was hit with a pitch. Coley Chesnut walked and Antari Dukes walked and scored. Making the score 8-5 Turner Motors. Steve Lanes was unable to make a comeback and the final score remained 8-5. The winning pitcher was Michael Perryman.

Regions Bank 4, Brown Drug 3

Regions Bank used a late inning rally to edge past Brown Drug on April 16.

Leading the way for Regions Bank was Jeffery Mack, Tavarius Murray, Bremond Seay, and Rodney Ellis, who each recorded a single in the contest. Brown Drugs leading hitters were Mathew Tillery and Drew Ross who each recorded a single.

George’s Paint 19, Steve Lanes 1

George’s Paint smashed Steve Lanes 19-1 on April 16. Leading the way for Georges was Jabaris Hardy with a pair of triples. Darrien Page, Jarvaris Brown and Joel Yarbrough each had doubles. Jody Glover, Darren Page, Cobb Bostick, and Ben Beers each contributed with a single. As for Steve Lanes Arthur Murray, Tyler Love and Andrew Dudley each had a single. Picking up the win for Georges was Craig King, and taking the loss was Will Tipton.

Turner Motors 11, Selma Times 1

Wilbert McConico recorded 10 strikeouts in a 10 run victory against Selma Times on the April 16. Top hitters for Selma Times were Rashad Ellis, Austin Jordan and Sherrone Lindsey who each had a single. Wilbert McConico helped him self out by contributing two singles for the cause. Coley Chesnut also added a single. Sherrone Lindsey gave up 11 runs on three hits and surrendered six walks.

Cougar Minit 13, Selma Cash and Carry 12

Cougar Minit Shop used eight hits to beat Selma Cash and Carry 13-12 on April 16 at the Sportsplex. Byron Hamilton had two hits followed by Deion Daniels, Darrion Ellis, Trey Stiles, Darrius Frazier, Tavarius Robinson, and DeQuarius Talley each added a hit. For Selma Cash and Carry Crawford Traylor, Tyler Perry, McCain Levins and Will Wilkerson each had hits.

Steve Lanes 7, Georges Paint 6

Steve Lanes scored five big runs in the second inning to hold on Georges for a 7-6 win on May 14. Michael Clark and Tyler Loe had two hits each followed by Andrew Dudly, Will Tipton, Taylor Lanes, and Arthur Murray each with a hit. As For Georges Paint Jabaris Hardy had two hits followed by Kevin Simmons, Cobb Bostick, Jody Glover and Craig King with one hit each. Jabaris Hardy had four RBI in the game.

13- and 14-year old

Healthmark 20, Pilcher McBride 8

Lamarious Prince had three hits and three RBI to lead Healthmark to a 20-8 win over Pilcher McBride on April 9. Justin Fomen, the winning pitcher, had two hits and three RBI. Andrew Green had two hits and an RBI. Phillip Green had one hit and two RBI, and Justin McAfee had two hits and two RBI. Will Ingram was the losing pitcher. Randall Hamilton had two triples and three RBI in the losing effort for Pilcher McBride.

FOP 12, Healthmark 0

Jay Gilmer and Braxton Fuller combined for a no-hitter to lead FOP to the 12-0 win over Healthmark on April 14. Fuller scored four runs on three hits. Sam Tate scored two runs on two hits. Dylan Shelby scored two runs on three hits, and Will Bamberg scored one run on two hits. Justin Fomen took the loss on the mound, and Devan Steward, who reached on a walk, was Healthmark’s only baserunner.

FOP 16, Healthmark 2

Dylan Shelby had two singles to lead FOP to a 16-2 win over Healthmark on May 9. Sam Tate had a double, and Will Bamberg and Anthony Simpson had a single each. For Healthmark, Justin Fomen had a single.

Amsouth 11, Pepsi 7

Mario Ross had two singles, and Mark Englett had one single to lead Amsouth to an 11-7 win over Pepsi on May 13. Daniel Blackman was the winning pitcher. Johnny Watts took the loss on the mound for Pepsi. Darrius Hyatt had three singles, and Josh Wyatt had two singles. Justin Lowe and Johnny Watts doubled, and Patrick Gunn and Tyler Lawrence singled.
