In a masterfully played softball game, Lee-Scott Academy scored a run in each of the last two innings to steal a win from under the home-standing Meadowview Lady Trojans, 2-1.

The Lady Warriors took advantage of Meadowview miscues to put runners in scoring position, then they came through with timely hits against the Lady Trojans, previously unbeaten ace, Micah Lolley.

With both teams ranked in the top 10 teams in the AISA, the game was tight throughout.

Meadowview took the lead in the third when Carol Ann McIntyre reached base on a bunt single.

She stole second and scored when Haley McIntyre ripped a double to the gap in left-center.

In the top of the sixth, a hit batter, an error and a wild pitch put a Lee-Scott runner on third when Ashley Leonard’s line-drive up the middle tied the game at one.

A two-out rally gave the Lady Warriors the lead. A walk put the go-ahead run on first, then a bloop single to right got past the defense, allowing the runner to go from first to home.
