Rockeyfellow Allen

Rockeyfellow Allen, a resident of Tuskegee, AL, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday. April 6, 2005,at 1:00p.m. from the Tuskegee Church of Christ with Brother Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Tuskegee AL. McKenzie’s Funeral Home staff directing.

His survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Emma Gunn Allen; his children; Nellie (Brent) Barthany, Bobbie Jean (Calvin) Goodmin, Cleveland, OH, Corey Allen Franklin, Chicago, IL, Yulanda (Sanford) Jones, Madison. WI, Sharon (Robert) Mitchell, Valparaiso, IN, Cathy Jones, Madison, WI, and Denord (Vel) Anderson, Atlanta, GA.; a special daughter and son, Patricia Thome and Spencer Thome; eight siblings, Willie Lee (Temple) Allen, Marion, OH, Hosa (Flora) Allen, Indianapolis. IN, Pastor David (Alice) Allen, Chicago, IL, Daisy Todd, Selma, AL. George (Stella) Allen, Birmingham, AL, Carrie (Louis) Harell, Miami, FL, Warren (Rebecca) Allen, Tyler. AL, Minister Margaret (Pastor George) Bennett, Selma, AL, mother-in-law, Eula Mae Gunn, Gary. IN.; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other loving relatives and friends.

Oliver Perry Woodruff

Oliver Perry “Buddy” Woodruff Sr., 81, a resident of Lowndesboro, Al., died Saturday, April 2, 2005.

A life long resident of Lowndes County, he was a farmer,

a retired Probate Judge and a longtime Deacon/Elder of Lowndesboro Presbyterian Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Dorabel McGavock Woodruff.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at 11:00 AM at Oakview Cemetery in Lowndesboro, with Leak-Memory Chapel directing.

He is survived by two sons Robert E. Woodruff and wife Jackie of Lowndesboro, Al., and O. Perry Woodruff, Jr. and wife Kent of Selma, Al., three granddaughters Roberta K. Woodruff of Destin, Fl., Caroline H. Woodruff and Anne P. Woodruff both of Selma, Al., and one sister Mildred Ceil DeFazio and husband Nick. .

Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.

Glenda Ann Jordan-Carter

Glenda Ann Jordan-Carter, a resident of Fort Deposit, AL, died Friday, April 01, 2005.

Funeral services and survivors will be announced later by Bell Funeral Home.

Isabella Davis

Isabella Davis, 98, of Selma, died Friday, April 1, 2005, at a local hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home.

Jessie B. Burns

Jessie B. Burns, 89, of Boston, died April 1, 2005. Services will be held on April 9, at 12 p.m. at the Elbethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Summerfield Community Cemetery. Lewis Brothers Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
