Those who will help are asked to meet at the Meadowview Elementary Parking Lot between 8:30 -9:00 A.M. Saturday morning to get bags, gloves and supplies.

We will pick up litter-No Household Garbage-for a couple of hours and return the filled bags to the parking lot by Noon.

A city truck will then picked up all bags of litter. For more information, please call me at 872-7327. Everyone is invited to the kick-off rally for the Sweep Selma Clean project this Friday afternoon at 5 P.M. at the Big Lots Parking lot behind the Selma Mall.

To the editor:

While soaring heartrendering moments of truth,

With this poem of thoughts, of special hours drawing near.

It’s a blessing of being, graceful and thankful,

For having a Savior throughout the year.

Unto The Father

Gently walked away, one gloomy day,

After learning of Thee, was very young.

Came darken moments, along with ferment,

And still forgave of mistakes were done.

While watching trials, of snares from miles,

Of anguishness, and struggles I bear.

With compassion upon, lifted Thy cross beyond,

Just to show, Heavenly Father, you cares.
