Troy Eugene Moore
Troy Eugene Moore, age 74, of Selma, passed away at his residence Wednesday, February 23, 2005.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. in Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Kenny Hatcher officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be Friday, February 25, 2005 at 6-8:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home.
He is survived by two sons, Matthew Moore (Lynn Threadgill) and Scott (Dawn) Moore of Selma, AL; three brothers, Charles (Deian) Moore of Montgomery, AL, Ludie (Patsy) Moore and Robert Moore of Selma, AL; two sisters, Virginia (Lester) Lawson and Louise (Harley) Hopkins of Selma, AL; and five step grandchildren, Kyle Threadgill, Kayla Threadgill, Mallory Green, Andrew Green and Magan Green.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Ray Moore, and Billy Moore of Selma and Wayne Moore of Mobile, AL.
Honorary pallbearers will be Milton Wiggins, Gene Wilson and his brothers.
Lillie Pearl Campbell
Lillie Pearl Campbell, 77, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2005, at her residence.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at Selma Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Fancher officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
She is survived by her husband, Loyd D. Campbell of Selma; two sons, Wayne Ford of Auburn, AL and Raymond (Sherri) Campbell of Plantersville, AL; four daughters, Renee (Scott) Melton of Valley Grande, AL, Faye (James) Jones of Selma, Lynn (Kyle) Lawley of Valley Grande, AL, Kaye (Wes) Dees of Maplesville, AL; two brothers, Jessie L. Cook of Selma, and James L. Cook of Monroe, LA; two sisters, Polly Baxley of Ocala, FL, Frankie Rutledge of Boca Raton, FL; nine grandchildren, Heather (David) Sellers of Montgomery, AL, Bubba (Shea) Ford of Opelika, AL, Courtney Campbell of Plantersville, AL, Kyle Lawley of Valley Grande, AL, Brandon Melton of Valley Grande, AL, Logan Campbell of Plantersville, AL, Nichole Dees of Maplesville, AL, Kayla Lawley of Valley Grande, AL and Amy Ford of Opelika; one great-grandchild, MacKenzie Ford of Opelika, AL.
Active Pallbearers were Jack Andrews, James Barnes, Ricky Cook, Rusty Cook, Dan Godwin, Jason Godwin, Michael Godwin, and Joe Keener.
Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. Knight, Dr. Howell, Jimmy Pardue, and Buford Campbell.
The family wishes to thank Cahaba Hospice and staff and also Dr. Knight, Dr. Howell and friends of the family.
Willie Jordan Jr.
Willie Jordan Jr., 78, of Dallas County, died Friday, February 18, 2005 in Selma.
Services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, February 26, at Shiloh M. B. Church with the Rev. Joshua Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include is wife, Susie M. Jordan; seven sons, Sylvester Jordan of Selma, Cedric J. (Judy) Jordan, Anthony (Nacy) Jordan of Selma, Donzell (Cyd) Jordan of Portsmouth, Va., Barry(Wanda)Jordan of Clarksville, Tenn., and Ignatius (Barbara) Jordan of Honolulu; one sister, Elizabeth Bennette of Albuquerque, N.M.; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five daughters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Active pallbearers are sons.
Honorary pallbearers are Deacons of Shiloh Baptist Church.
The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
Mr. Jordan was a Baptist. He served in the United State Army for two years. In 1980 received a career service award in recognition of the completion of 35 years of service in the government of the United States of America.
