Patricia Diane Lewis
Patricia Diane Lewis, 48, of Selma, died Saturday, January 8, 2005, at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 15, at Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Samuel Cleveland Jr. officiating and Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include a special friend, Michael Smith; parents, Calvester Jemison and Irma Jean Stubbs; two daughters, Jamie Nicole Lewis and Latisha Nicole Irby (goddaughter); two brothers, LaCurtis Stubbs and Wendell Squire; three sisters, Miriam Griffin, Rosalyn Nelson and LaTangla Stubbs; one devoted aunt, Margaret Bryant; and god-grandchildren, Kelsey Cooper and Rodeldrick Harrison.
Active pallbearers are family and friends.
Birdie Day
Birdie A. Day, 76, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at her home.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2005, at Jones Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Alan Yarbrough officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing
Survivors include, a sister, Florence McCullough of Waco, Texas; other relatives are, Larry (Gail) Averette, Gladys Marie Douglas, Sarah Alice (James) Gill of Uniontown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Day was preceded in death by her husband Joseph C. Day.
Active pallbearers will be A.C. Champion, Larry Walker, David Harrison, Alton McAfee and Leonard Atchison.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Jesse L. Wright
Jesse L. Wright. 44, of Selma, died Monday, January 10, 2005, at a Mobile hospital.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15, at Southside High School with the Rev. Gary Crum officiating. Burial will follow in Big Zion AME Zion Churchyard Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. directing.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine S. Wright; mother, Ruby N. Wright; his daughter, Kimberly Denise; stepdaughters, Summer Smiley and Chutney Otey; three brothers, Abe (Mary Ann) Wright, McKensley (Emilyn) Wright and Mathews (Meleny) Wright; one sister, Betty Goodwin; mother-in-law, Morlie Smiley; seven nephews; six nieces; and great-nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Active pallbearers will be Alabama State Troopers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alabama State Troopers.
Sherry L. Tyler
Sherry L. Tyler, 51, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at a local hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2005, at Lawrence Funeral Home Burial will be in Scott City, Mo.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Tyler; a son, Shaun Tyler and his wife Michelle; one grandchild, Logan Tyler; parents, Paul and Doris Lewellen; two brothers, Greg Lewellen and Randy Lewellen; numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
