Paul Kaleb Washington III

Baby Paul Kaleb Washington III born May 23, 2003, died Tuesday, January 4, 2005.

Funeral services were Saturday, January 8, 2005, directed by the Lewis Brothers Funeral Home in the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Darryl Moore officiating. He leaves to cherish his memories, loving and devoted parents: Paul and Valentina; one sister; Alisha Washington of Bronx, N.Y; Grandparents: Jimmie & Valerie Ridgeway-Walters of Selma; Paul & Naomi Washington Sr. of Bronx, N.Y.; and Corinne Sanders of Talladega; Great-grandparents: Jimmy Walters, Roberta Sturdivant and Julia Brown all of Selma and Ruth Ridgeway of Butler; Great-great grandparent: Laura Sanders of Uniontown; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a grandmother: Barbara Jean Johnson: and uncle: Jimmie V. Walters.

Etha Bledsoe

Etha Bledsoe, 97, died January 10, 2005, at a local nursing home.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, at the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Myra B. Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bledsoe was preceded in death by her parents, Arkie & Birdie Bledsoe, a brother Raymond Bledsoe, and five sisters, Edrie Colburn, Laura Perrigan, Minnie Green, Jennie Mae Perry and Elvira Frith.

Family visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 at the funeral home.

Catherine Jackson

Catherine Jackson, of Selma, died Monday, January 10, 2005, at a local hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Walker Mortuary.
