Joseph Dixon, 91, of Orrville, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004, in Orrville.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 18, at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Bro. James Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include two sons, Willie Berry and Charles Berry both of Chicago, Ill.; four daughters, Elmira Green, Vera Johnson (Freddie), Jean Durhart (Bennie) all of Miami, Fla., and Lillian Terrell of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Alvin Dixon (Florence) of EGG Harbour, N.J., Timothy Dixon and C.W. Dixon of Perry, Ga.; 25 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law; and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives.
Active pallbearers are grandsons and nephews.
Cecil Hardy
Cecil Hardy, 67, of Safford, died Thursday, December 16, 2004.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 18, at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Alberta. Burial will follow the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Hardy; one son, Micheal (Victoria) Curtis; one daughter, Berretta Hardy; two brothers, Earl Hardy and Samuel McMillian; five sisters, Eddie Mae, Lucy Mae, Daisey Williams, Martha Rea and Rebecca West; and three grandchildren.
Louis Gardner Sr.
Louis Gardner Sr., 83, died Thursday, December 9, 2004, at his home.
Services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, December 18, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor George Shelton and Min. George Dower of Minnesota officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Annie P. Gardner; five sons, Louis Gardner Jr., Jeffery (Jessie) Gardner, Gary L. Gardner of Selma, Winfield Gardner of Killean, Texas, and Michael (Wanda) Gardner of Brad, Fla.; four daughters, Geraldine (Willie) Dickerson, Regina (Willie) Burns of Autaugaville, Karla Perkins and Jennifer Quarles of Selma; one brother, Min. George (Ida) Dower of Minneapolis, Minn.; five sisters, Janie Harris, Earline Turnipseed, Dorothy (Henry) Williams, Dorothy Myles and Frances Boone all of Minneapolis, Minn.; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sons-in-law; three daughters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law; three uncles; four aunts; and a host of nieces and nephews.
