Jamie Pilcher scored 16 points and Sarah Hughey dropped in 14 points as the Morgan Academy girls’ junior varsity team remained unbeaten with a 38-26 win over Meadowview Christian.

Jaye Lyn Lawrence scored six points and starred on defense for the Lady Senators (2-0). MCS fell to 3-2 on the season. Hayes Cothron grabbed 10 rebounds for Morgan.

Meadowview Christian was led by Carol Ann McIntyre with 14 points. Deavon Aultman and Abbi Howe pitched in six points apiece.

In boys’ junior varsity play, Heath Harrelson scored 12 points to pace Morgan Academy to a 58-25 win over MCS. Morgan Academy improved to 2-0 while Meadowview Christian dropped to 1-3. Heath Brantley, Weston Mason, Will Bamberg and Will Pitts each had six points for Morgan.

Meadowview Christian was led by Ryan Aultman and Zack Lawrence with seven points apiece. Marc McElhango added six points.
