Sallie Miles-Byrd

Sallie Miles-Byrd, 69, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Forkland, died Monday, November 8, 2004.

Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Forkland, with the Rev. William M. Branch officiating. Burial will follow in Miles-Green Family Cemetery in Forkland, with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.

Family visitation will be held on Thursday at the church, beginning at 12 noon.

Theresa Gibian Bernstein

Theresa Gibian Bernstein, died Friday, November 12, 2004, in Montgomery.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law; two daughters and sons-in-law; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a brother and his wife, Richard and Betty Rose Gibian.

Mary Ellen Goodman

Mary Ellen Goodman, 41, of Selma, died Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at her home.

Services will be held Friday, November 19, at the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, William Goodman; one son, James Goodman; and one brother, Henry Bibby.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday.

Sarah Watts

Sarah Watts, 66, of Dallas County, died Wednesday, November 10, 2004, at a nursing home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 20, at Phillip Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Kirk Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include two sons, Steven Smith of Mableton, Ga., and Ronnie Scott of Selma; four daughters, Janice (Carlos) Jones, Iris Scott, Connie Gordon (Gregory Trusty), Sherry Scott (Oscar) all of Selma; two brothers, James (Mable) Smith, Howard (Estella) Smith all of Selma; one sister, Katie (Theodore) Parker of Selma; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law; one brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; 21 nephews; 23 nieces; special nephew, Christopher Pullom; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Watts, a daughter, Beverly Scott, parents, Calloway and Alice Smith, three brothers, Bernice Smith, Joseph Smith and Roosevelt Smith.

Active pallbearers are sons and nephews.
