Creola Gales

Creola Gales, 61, of Selma, died Tuesday, November 9, 2004, at a local hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, at Greater St. Paul M.B. Church with the Rev. J.C. Summers officiating. Burial will follow in Sandridge Church Cemetery, River Rd., with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include eight brothers; six sisters; and four sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Elnora Gales and one brother.

Active pallbearers are Concordia College basketball team.

Mary James Hayes

Mary James Hayes, 85, of Selma, died Wednesday, November 10, 2004, at a local nursing home.

Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 14, at Greater St. Paul M.B. Church with the Rev. J. C Summers officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her devoted husband and 10 children.

Carolyn Nail

Carolyn Nail, 78, of Odenville, died Saturday, November, 13,2004.

Services are at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 14, at Kilgroe Chapel.

Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Nov. 14 at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Mrs. Nail was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Nail.

Survivors include her sisters, Betty Warr of Selma, Myrtle Lovelady of Randolph, and Tessie McFarland of Centerville; brother, Harley Hopkins of Selma; nieces, Deborah (Bryan) Monk and Dianne (Mark) Bond; great nieces and nephews, Bryan Monk, Jr, Lauren Monk, William Bond, and Mary Carson Bond.

Mrs. Nail was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired from Lawyers Tile Company.

James Jackson

James Jackson, of Selma, died Friday, November 11, 2004 at his home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 18, at Camp Creek Baptist Church in Tyler with Bishop C.J. Nicholson officiating.

Burial will follow at New Liberty Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Cedric Jackson and Rodney Riddle; daughters, Peggy Smith and Shanita Jackson; four brothers, Joe Lewis Jackson, Paul Jackson, Tommy Jackson and Charles Jackson; four sisters, Irene Pettway, Annie Lee Stone, Nancy Gould and Pearl Jackson; six grandchildren, three sister-in-laws, and a host of nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
