Mattie Mason Campbell
Mattie Mason Campbell , 90, of Selma, died Monday, October 11, 2004.
Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 14, at Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. George Jones officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include two sons, Berney Marcus Campbell of Selma and James Douglas Campbell of Ethel, La; three grandchildren, Karen Joy Helms of Gonzalas, La., James D. Campbell Jr. of Oscar, La., and Marcus T. Campbell of Tampa, Fla.
Creola Martin
Creola Martin, 89, of Orrville, died Sunday, October 10, 2004, at her home.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 16, at Siloam Baptist Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Marzette officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include daughters, Essie (Walter) Williams of Orrville, Mary (John) Pope, Lena (Robert) Hall and Rosie Lee Perkins all of Birmingham; sister, Margaret Watts of Birmingham; 30 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Martin, parents, Elijah and Margaret Richardson, son, Willie Perkins, two brothers, Johnny (Honey) Richardson and James Richardson, sisters, Eva (Ernest) Wilson and Delayne (Andrew) Jackson.
Active pallbearers are grandsons and great-grandsons.
Mrs. Martin was granted her wish to remain at home until her death. She was an active and long-time member of Siloam Baptist Church and the church Society until her health failed.
Mallie Foster
Mallie Foster, 85, of Marion, died Thursday, October 7, 2004, at a Selma hospital.
Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, at Zion United Methodist Church in Marion with the Rev. Fariest Cureton officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.
Seaburn Berry Ratliff
Seaburn Berry Ratliff, 77, of Selma, died Monday, October 11, 2004, at a Montgomery hospital.
Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 14, at the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with the Rev. George K. Jones Sr. and the Rev. Doug Chappel officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Ratliff of Selma; son, Ronald Berry (Peggy) Ratliff of Selma; two daughters, Linda (Warren) McEachern and Janet (Ronnie) Etheridge all of Selma; three brothers, Willard (Louise) Ratliff Cecil (Betty) Ratliff all of Chilton County and Bill (Harlen) Ratliff of Montgomery; two sisters, Emma Jean Tatum of Deatsville and Pauline (Hubert) Payton of Bessemer; six grandchildren, Lea Ann Sims, Daniel Roberts, Jason Potvin, Pamela Ratliff Betten, Jonathan Ratliff and Brandon Etheridge.; four great-grandchildren, Colton Roberts, Brody Roberts, James Betten and Dallas Betten.
Eugene Oliver
Eugene Oliver, 93, of Greenville, formerly of Lowndes County, died Tuesday, October 12, 2004.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Bell Funeral Home.
