Olen Wayne Brown
Olen Wayne Brown, 73, of New Brockton, died Thursday, September 16, 2004, at a hospital in Enterprise.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 19, at the Chapel of Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Feenstra officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Brown of New Brockton; two daughters, Janet Harper (Larry) of New Brockton and Kim Koppel (David) of Big Pine Key, Fla.; three sons, Richard Brown (Debra), David Brown (Deborah) all of Selma, and Eric Brown (Beverly) of New Brockton; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Brown.
Mr. Brown was born in Cherokee County, to the late Clarence and Ada Mae Chestnut Brown. He was a Minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Luvonia P. Hall
Luvonia P. “Mudear” Hall, 86, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004.
Funeral Services are at 12 noon Wednesday, September 22, at Salem Primitive Baptist Church, Orrville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Smith & Gaston Southside directing.
Survivors include her two sons, Matthew Milhouse (Betty) and Andrew L. Milhouse (Darlene) of Decatur, Ga.; two daughters, Minnie Square of Birmingham and Lillie Price (Willie) of Decatur, Ga.; two sisters, Lula Manual of Birmingham and Hattie Craig of Marion Junction; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a devoted best friend, Mrs. Lela Fisher.
Mrs. Hall, was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Orrville.
