Thomas McReynolds, 73, a resident of White Hall, AL died Tuesday, September 7, 2004. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. from the Unity Baptist Church with Pastor A. Whiting. Burial will be in the Churchyard Cemetary with Bell Funeral Home directing.
Bertha Hardy-Alridge
Bertha Hardy-Alridge, 78, a resident of Hartford, CT (Gordonville, AL) died on Monday, August 30, 2004. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist
Church with Rev. Larry G. Townsend officiating. Burial will be in the churchyard cemetary with Bell Funeral Home directing.
Tonya Monique Hatcher
Tonya Monique Hatcher, 34, of Selma, died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at a local hospital.
Services are at11 a.m. Saturday, September 11, at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include a loving mother, Deloris Hatcher; a very loving and devoted grandmother who was her mother too, Elbertha
H. Hatcher; one uncle, Scott Hatcher Jr. (Kimberly) of Mesquite, Texas; five aunts, Gertie H. Nix (Jerry) of Maplesville, Eloise H. Williams of Birmingham, Patricia Jones of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Ann H. Wilson (Tony) of Montgomery and Loreasa H. Edwards (Woodrow) of Bronx, N.Y.; three great-aunts, Lula Mae Courtland (Ocie) and Bertha Mae Courtland (James) all of Selma and Reneva Courtland (J.B.) of Uniontown.
Cynthia Love
Cynthia Love, 50, formerly of Selma, died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at her home in Huntsville.
Services are at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 11, at Madkins Chapel C.P. Church in Huntsville, with the Rev. Endia Scruggs officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include two sons, Steven and Derrick Battle of Huntsville; one grandson, Steven Battle Jr. of Decatur; father, Rev. Andrew Baker Jr. of Huntsville; four sisters, Regina Turner, Priscilla (Lorenzo) Jones, Latunjia Baker and Teresa Watkins all of Huntsville; two brothers, Felix (Sherry) Baker of Selma and Gregory (Denise) Baker of Fortsill, Okla; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Willie B. Watts
Willie B. Watts, 65, of
Beloit, (Dallas County), died Saturday, September 4, 2004, at a local hospital.
Services are at 12 noon, Saturday, September 11, at New Hope Baptist Church, Blackwell Bend Rd., with the Rev. Willie Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Dr. Henry Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include one son, William (Penny) Watts of Selma; three daughters, Linda Smith, Andrae Watts and Renae Watts of Selma; two brothers, Roosevelt Watts of Beloit and Wilson (Hattie) Watts of Inkster, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; seven brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; two special cousins, Carl A. Phillips of Beloit and Cleophus Blackmon of Detroit, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Fair Watts; mother, Parlee Phillips Robinson.
Active pallbearers are relatives and friends.
Repast will be held at the Beloit Community Center, Hwy. 22 W., following the burial.
Mr. Watts confessed Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Baptist Church. He retired from the City of Selma General Services Department.
Louvenia Stallworth
Louvenia Stallworth, 57, of Selma, died Monday, September 5, 2004, at a Birmingham hospital.
Services are at 12 noon Saturday, September 11, at Sandridge Church on River Rd., with the Rev. Carl Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her husband, Mack Stallworth Sr.; three sons, Mack A. Stallworth Jr., Michael Stallworth and Ronald Stallworth all of Selma; four daughters, Peggy S. Alford of Jacksonville, Fla., Amanda Stallworth of Selma, Samantha Stallworth of Arlington, Texas and Ashley Stallworth of Selma; three brothers, Frank (Mary) Lawson of Selma, Willie ( Annie) Lawson of Orrville and John (Virginia) Lawson of Selma; four sisters, Bernice Howard (Oscar), Daisy Morgan, and Willie Bell Thomas all of Selma and Edna (Randall) Fields of Birmingham; six grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; eight nephews and 12 nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise Lawson and David Pettway.
Active pallbearers are David Hosea, Lemuel Roller, Milton Robinson, Ronnie Brown and Roderick Leshore.

Willie Mae Bennett, 68, died Thursday, September 2, 2004, at a local hospital.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 11, at Lilly Grove Baptist Church in Marion, with the Rev. Leo King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include four sons, Willie James Bennett, Charles (Elizabeth) Bennett, Arthur Lee Bennett and Andrew Brown; one daughter, Lula Mae (Charles) Holland; two sisters, Beatrice (Junie) Mahan and Maggie (Roosevelt) Moore; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers are family and friends.
Nellie Washington
Nellie Washington, 92, of Marion Jct., died Monday, September 7, 2004, at a Selma hospital.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 11, at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Bro. James Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in College Hill Church Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include two daughters, Eunice Freeman and Sandra Milling; one foster daughter, Dinah Burnett; three cousins, Phyllis Gay, Betty Williams and Thelma Madison; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a devoted nephew, Robert (Odester) Washington Sr.; a host of great-nieces and nephews.
