Danny Wayne Craig
Danny Wayne Craig, 33, of Selma, died Saturday, August 21, 2004.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 21, at Macedonia Apostolic Holiness Church, 2013 Clinton Avenue, with Dist. Elder Robert Pettus officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his devoted mother, Angeline Craig of Selma; loving grandmother, Ida Mae Craig of Selma; two sisters, Diane Sullivan of Selma and Shirley Greham (Darrick) of San Diego, Calif.; seven brothers, Anthony, Kelly, Gary, Micheal, Chris, Jamie and Joseph Craig all of Selma; eight children, Danny Jr., Rashad, Tawanda, Michelle, Yasmeen, Dedsi Jefferson, Lakendrick Woods and Kadejur Jefferson all of Selma; four aunts, Evie, Janie (William), Lena (Rodney) and Mary Craig all of Selma; three uncles, Zaron, Aaron, David all of Selma; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Amos Craig.
Mr. Craig was born Jan. 17, 1971, to Angeline Craig and the late John Anderson. He accepted Christ as a young man and united with Elbethel Baptist Church, where he attended. He always looked for the good in everyone.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of their friends and the community for their expressions of care and kindness, and special thanks to Pastor Pettus and the church family.
Pettus A. Gilford
Pettus A. Gilford, 87, of Beloit, died Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at a hospital in Evanston, Ill.
Services are at 12 noon Saturday, August 21, at Greater Mt. Calvary AME Church with the Rev. Amos Smith Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Beloit, with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include one son, Willie (Linda) Gilford Sr. of Selma; four daughters, Portia B. (Sylvester) Graves of Yuma, Ariz., Alice (Lawson) Giles of Peoria, Ill., Marsha (Hubert) Fincher of Evanston, Ill., and Wilhemina Crawford of Selma; two brothers, Schofield Gilford of New York City, N.Y., and Andrew Gilford of Beloit; two sisters, Florence Small of New York City, N.Y., and Myrtle (Ralph) Pender of Detroit, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Active pallbearers are Kenneth Taylor, Harvey Mitchell, Theodore Taylor, Larry Green, Raymond Gilford, Dr. Willie Gilford M.D., David Gilford and Thomas Capers.
Family visitations are at 7 p.m. on Friday at Miller Funeral Home.
