Fisherman will eventually lose power over fish

To the editor:
In response to the opinion expressed by Mr. Chestnut on July 23 in the STJ and how he used the fishing anecdote to express his views.
He must be a very good fisherman because he used race as bait, which keeps the water churned up.
The fish are all in a frenzy so
fish can know longer see, in the boat, you and your Republican friend are in the same boat, just different ends. The fish are not aware because they are under the boat.
If they do end up in the boat, there in the live well or on a stringer or in a basket, then they have lost all their freedom and are at the mercy of the fisherman.
The fish are starting to wise up.
Maybe it is time to change the bait before the fish quit biting at all.
Which brings us to the fish that have gotten too smart to bite.
Those fish are no longer useful to you because they find their own food and make their own way.
They don’t need the bait that you offer. Most fishermen know when the fish quit biting it will be time to move on.
When all fish learn that don’t need fishermen to survive there goes the privilege and the power of the fisherman.
