Members inducted to Morgan’s societies

Morgan Academy recently announced new members tapped
for three honor societies at Morgan Academy – Beta Club, Junior Beta Club and National Honor Society.
To be eligible for induction into Beta Club requires a cumulative grade point average of 90, for the National Honor Society, 93.
During the Beta Club induction ceremony, President Elizabeth Gilmer welcomed parents and students.
Vice-president Virginia Anderson, Secretary Amanda Barrette,
Treasurer Sarah Peyton McCurdy, and members Robert Collins and Tyler Gresham
lit ceremonial candles and gave speeches for the occasion.
New members inducted were Heather Dobbs, Ashley Bradford, Lindsey Holcombe, Kelly Jones, Graham Mosley, Reema Bashir, Glennis Bradsell, Whitney Casey, Jennifer Grant, Tracey Hinton, Margaret McNeill, Melanie Pieper, Meredith Pieper, Rett Rivers, C.J. Searcy, Anna Twardy, Cody Warrington, Amelia Williams, Jessica Willis, Elizabeth Wood and Jim Zuelzke. Gilmer led the group in the Beta Club Pledge at the conclusion of the ceremony.
The Junior Beta Club induction was conducted
by President Bain Hanning who also led the group in the Junior Beta Club Pledge at the end of the ceremony. New members inducted were Aly Bradford, Erin Gibbs, Mark Mosely, Drew Pomeroy, Joseph Waters, Kayci Carlson, Thomas Huelskoetter, Laura Lee Logan, Weston Mason, Jenna Murray, Jaime Pilcher, Anna Ralston, Sarah Stewart and Harrison Tanner.
The National Honor Society at Morgan Academy
also inducted new members .Vice-president Elizabeth Gilmer spoke on the history of the organization, qualifications for members and on the topic of scholarship. Secretary-Treasurer Virginia Anderson spoke on leadership. New members inducted were Amanda Barrette, Sarah Peyton McCurdy, Rachael Austin, Kate Cothran, Cate Gilmer, Tyler Gresham, Grace Harris, Graham Mosley and Alex Parker. At the end of the gathering the National Honor Society Pledge was recited and ceremonial candles lit.
