Moses Fikes, 78m of Selma, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at a nursing home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Elbethel Baptist Church with the Rev. J.D. Ruffin officiating. Burial will follow in Perry Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one son, Willie Needly; four daughters, Bettie Fikes, Loretta Fikes Ross, Vera Fikes and Lena Fikes; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one son-in-law; one sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Waymon Crum

Waymon Crum, 85, of Selma, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at a local nursing home.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Darryl Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include two sons, Phillip (Paulette) Bossie of Maple Heights, Ohio and Darrell (Kimberly) Bossie of Selma; three daughters, Mary (Robert) Lee and Brenda Bossie both of Selma and Shirley (Henry) Day of Maple Height, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and other relatives,.

Family visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, at J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home.

Hayward Rogers

Hayward Rogers, 75, of Perry County, died Saturday, April 24, 2004, at a local hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Marietta AME Zion Church with the Rev. Isiah Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include one grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers are family and friends.

Ilona A. Phillips

Ilona A. Phillips, 61, of Ozark, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at a Dothan hospital.

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Pinckard United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Davitz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Arthur Phillips, Ozark; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas D. and Claire Phillips, Pinckard; two daughters, Anita Phillips of Ozark, Sandra Payne, Germany; three grandchildren, Marie Phillips of Pinckard, Jonathan Payne and Jennifer Payne of Germany; four sisters; several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Phillips.

Family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Mrs. Phillips memory, may be made to the SOS Animal Shelter, Hwy. 84 East, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Mrs. Phillips was born October 25, 1942 in Germany and lived the early years of her life in Frankfurt. In 1961, she was married to Arthur F. Phillips and moved to the United States. During her husband’s military career, she resided in various places around the world.
