Quincey De’Wayne Dudley

Quincey De’Wayne Dudley, of Selma, died Thursday, April 22, 2004.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at First Baptist Church, 709 M.L. King, with the Rev. Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a loving mother, Patricia Dudley Moore (Tommy); a devoted father, Richard Swift (Evelyn Maul); two children, Emily and Quindell Pratt and an unborn son; fiancee, Mary L. Johnson; three sisters, Pennye D. Dudley (William Watts), Tiesha Webb and Shakita Swift; four brothers, Elmore Dudley (Yvette) Demetrius Dudley (Latonya Wilson), Richard

Dudley (Veronica Barron) and Carlos Watts; six aunts, Mary L. Swift, Wanda Walker, Josephine Swift, Glenda Cooper (Robert), Barbara Browder and Christine Browder;

uncles, Robert Dudley, Nathaniel Dudley, Christopher Johnson, Jeff Walker, David Walker, Bruce Browder, Reginald Browder, Ron Gale, Randall Browder and Richard Murray; two special grandmothers, Mattie Dudley and Mary Walker; grandfather, Richard Browder (Debra); great-grandmother, Mattie Browder; four great-uncles, Jessie Browder (Helen), Willie Browder, Eddie Browder and Monroe Browder; two great-aunts, Della Bell Barber and Ruby Nell Albert; four nieces; four nephews; and a host of cousins and friends; special friend, Albert Muse.

He was preceded in death by uncles, Kevin Dudley and Ronnie Walker, an aunt, Brenda Swift and nephew, Devontae Dudley.

Majorie Christine Hughey McElroy

Majorie Christine Hughey McElroy, 77, of Selma, died Monday, April 26, 2004, at a local nursing home.

Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include children, Ann Clinton, Shelton McElroy, Madylon Hammond and James McElroy; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma Jean Moore and Kathy Reeves.
