What is known is that Keith Crittendon was shot Sunday morning in the left hand. What is in question is where the crime actually occurred.

At least according to Eddie May Stewart, wife of Doney Roy Stewart, owner of the club the crime allegedly occurred at.

According to police, Crittendon said he was walking down Maxey Street past Doney Roy’s club, when he heard a shot and was injured in the left hand.

He was then transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center by a private vehicle, where he was treated. Police were already at the hospital filing a report on injuries incurred by Patrick Walker at the Tornado Club shooting on Alabama Avenue.

Police say emergency room personnel alerted them to the shooting. They filed a report with Crittendon’s statement.

The Stewarts say it didn’t happen at their club.

Stewart is concerned that with the current talk of what to do with nightclubs in the area, the Nightspot might be a casualty.

While police are investigating the crime, they did acknowledge they’d spoken to the Stewarts.

The Selma Times-Journal was unable to contact Crittendon at presstime.
