Wesley Sanders Jr.
Wesley Sanders Jr., 64, of Marion, died March 14, 2004, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.
Complete arrangements will be announced by Lee and Rollins Funeral Home at a later date.
Jeanette Norris Alsobrook
Jeanette Norris Alsobrook died March 13, 2004.
Services will be held Tuesday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery. The Rev. Lee Tate will officiate. Lawrence Funeral Home is directing.
Mrs. Alsobrook is survived by her sons Lawrence (Gail Brown) Comer Alsobrook Jr., Montgomery; William (Kay Goodwin) Norris Alsobrook Sr., Selma; sister-in-law, Lillis Heaton Norris, Shelby; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Alsobrook was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Comer Alsobrook, parents Frank and Jennie Norris, sister, Frances Weathers and brother, Frank Norris Jr.
She was born January 27, 1917 in Tuscaloosa. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, pianist and other leadership positions in WMU. She was a member and past president of the Pilot Club and an active participant in several garden clubs. She was employed by the Dallas County Board of Education as attendance and lunchroom supervisor until her retirement.
Pallbearers are Lawrence Comer Alsobrook III, William Norris Alsobrook Jr., Earl Goodwin Alsobrook, Jimmy Weathers, Wayne Norris, James Hines, Harold Speir and Joe Sexton. Honorary pallbearer is Mr. Goodwin Nichols.
The family suggests donations be made to the First Baptist Church, Luaderdale Street, Selma,l or the Alzheimer’s Disease Research, 22312 Gateway Center Drive, P.O. Box 1950, Clarksburg, MD 20871-1950.
