No injuries occurred after an explosive device went off at Selma High School on Wednesday.

According to Selma Police Department Sgt. Joseph Bills, a plastic bottle containing chemicals and aluminum foil burst in a locker in the old gym around 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday.

Bills noted that no one received injuries. The only property damaged was the bottle, which melted.

According to Green, officers took a juvenile into custody and charged him with criminal possession of explosives. The juvenile’s name wasn’t released.
