Robinson’s team beast St. Jams to advance to regionals

Led by sophomore sensation Jeffrey Anderson, the Southside Panthers advanced to regional play with a 78-73 win over St. James.

Mills hit five 3-pointers in the game.

Anderson continued his strong play with 30 points and 14 rebounds.

Deonte Williams had 18 and 13 rebounds,

eight

on the offensive side.

Freshman Fontana Watters had 16 points.

The Panthers’ late surge has come just in time. The strong play of the Panthers’ youngsters, like Watters has made a difference.

Jamarcus Hardy had two points but was a leader on defense. Robinson added that

Darryl Watts is playing really good defense.

Robert Tyus had four points

and a crucial free throw down the stretch.

The Panthers, following the Lady Panthers, will play Thursday afternoon in Troy against Bullock County at 1:30 p.m.
