Tigers dry up Lakeside

With their second-straight trip to the AISA title game on the line, the Tigers got off to a good start and roared to a 64-40 win over Lakeside.
Point guard Javoris Smith wasn’t playing at all.
The killer-quick point guard harassed the Chiefs for 27 points, including 11 in the second quarter.
Post Andrew Murphy added 17 points in the winning effort for the Tigers.
The Chiefs just couldn’t find an answer for the big man inside in the second half.
Quenteric Reed, Brandon Chandler and Douglas Fitz-Gerald all added four each for the Tigers.
Jeremy Collins, Adric Reed, Rodney Waites and David Coleman added two points each.
Ryan Freeman led the Chiefs with 13 points.
MMI was set to play the Warrior/Jefferson Christian winner on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
